I hand-coded my first website in 1996. Now I build whole systems on my own, with AI coding agents doing most of the typing.
I have started and sold three companies. Two made games - GiddyHep Games and Jenkat Games. Between them I ran game development at Fox Interactive Media, where my teams launched more than 100 online games. The third was Sportsnaut, a sports site that reached two million readers a month before The Publisher Desk bought it in 2019.
ReplayPop is one of the things I build now. It reads its numbers from Wikipedia and redraws the races from them. There is no chart library underneath.
RatingsReference is another. It is a record of publicly reported audience figures for US sports telecasts. Every figure is kept with its source and how it was measured. Where the measurement companies disagree, it shows both numbers and does not pick one.
Most of what I build is less visible than these. Internal tools, back-office automation, anything that runs in a browser or behind one. A lot of it is taking information a business already receives, like emails or data feeds, and getting it into the system where it is needed without anyone retyping it.
I decide what to build and how it should work. The agents write the code. I think that is worth saying plainly, because it is why one person can build and run things like this.
On some projects the agents keep working after launch. A second AI model reviews what the system produces and fixes what it finds. I set the limits on what it is allowed to change.
Alongside my client work, I do a small amount of AI consulting. Mostly that means looking at how a team works and finding the heavy lifting agents can carry, so your people can focus on the bigger picture. If that would be useful, get in touch.
